Default Damage Claim

I took delivery of a new truck approximately 30 days ago. Yesterday I noticed a gouges on one of the wheels, but could not figure out how they could have possibly gotten there.

i looked at a picture I took of the truck the day I drove it off the lot, and sure enough the gouges are there. I did not notice this on the walk around and therefore there was no mention of this issue.

The dealer i bought from is not local local and I doubtvthey feel compelled to help me out given the deal I negotiated.

How would you proceed?

id go to the dealer, speak with the person who did the walkaround with you 30 days ago, and show him the pictures you took on that day with the date and time stamp. See what they will do for you.

Go in expecting them not to do anything but be courteous. If they don't do anything you won't be too disappointed. If they do something (even split the cost) at least they tried.
It is a definite if you don't ask.
