Cylinder head Temp sensor issues

There was a bulletin to relocate the sensor. Ford has a kit do do this. It is not covered by Ford or the Extended warranty (Easycare), so it will be $1100.00 out of pocket to fix something they designed poorly.

These Head mounted Sensors have been used on 99.9% of all engines since at least 2015 and earlier with no issue. That's a lot of engines!
They are in the head to detect engine overheat long before damage is done rather than depend on a Wet Sensor that depends on contact with Coolant that may not be in contact with it, in a front hose and not set the same protection code and Limp mode until detected by other means that may be too late. I believe this is the purported change. Not good!
