Any tips before I remove/replace my fender badges?

I know to separate the adhesive (Fishing Line) and guessing use a pry tool to release the two locking pins?

You can possibly also reach from under the hood & get to the locator pins from the backside; rather than trying to pry from the outside.

Is there adhesive on the back of the emblems on the truck or are they just in the holes?

Also, I asked in another post and havent seen an answer, so maybe wrong crowd. There used to be a guy on here with the username "Moody Blue" He would do emblem overlays for tailgate and fender Ford Emblems. He doesnt seem to have logged in over a year and the email I had for him doesnt work. Can somebody point me in the direction of somebody who makes these still? Interested in a set for my new truck.

I'm going to try your idea I think it would look great

Only the fender badges & Ford emblems have holes. The rest (Tailgate F150, EcoBoost, TX Edition, FlexFuel) are adhesive.

Remove emblem, remove leftover 3m tape, slighty rough up the finish.... Primer, Paint, Clear, Polish (skip, if going for a matte finish), readd new 3m tape, install, and enjoy....
