It's only taken one time to correct, but has happened multiple times now.

Uninstall Android Auto from your phone and re-install it. Worked for me and it seems much more responsive and connects faster than it did on sync3 ver2.0.

Only issue I've found with v3.0 so far is that the clock is ready one hour early when set to auto. I've changed it to manual and works fine.

I just checked my Sync version in the truck and it says version 2.0. However, when I log into Fordpass on my computer and check for updates it says I'm up to date with version 2.3. Any ideas why the mismatch?

I’m doing the update now. Well, I’m trying. First time I got to the please restart screen (the system shuts down like 5 seconds after the screen comes up) restarted and about 5 min in it said the update failed. Factory reset and tried again. This time it got to the restart screen, let it shut down on its own, restarted and I am at updating system software for the last 15-20 minutes. Waiting to see what happens but if it fails again I’ll just try tomorrow.

Where do you get the install file?

I had the strangest occurrence on 3.0 today: AA was running and after I turned off the ignition I locked the doors and walked away, an hour later came back and the screen was on but blank and looked grey with backlight without sync3 turned on

Ford is just too lazy to keep a Daylight Saving calendar in the software, so when you have it on auto (GPS time) it will be an hour behind.

I tried the install this morning on my drive to the course. After the first part was finished and it asked me to restart I decided to just let it continue on its own as it immediately restarted itself and I wasnt in a position to pull over. after about 10 minutes it finished and everything installed fine. so if your radio is restarting itself after the first half I would recommend not doing anything and just let it finish. it would have saved me time last night for sure.
