No issues. D/l the image and do it via USB

My truck, built 5/22/17, has Sync 3 v2.2 16280. Is there any advantage to going to the trouble of using a USB stick to try to get it to 17011?

IMHO no, the changelogs only say "continuous software improvements". I did not see any difference between the two when I ran it (16280).

Thanks TexasFording! I saw a post that I thought mentioned I'd have to go to the dealer to go from 2.0 to 2.2. I'm glad I can just do it myself via USB.

I've tried searching with no luck; does anyone know where I can download the instructions and files for a Nav equipped 2.0 to 2.2 17011 upgrade?

The instructions are here, just search for em. Super short version:

64gb drive, format exfat, dump everything from the files on it.

files themselves, google them, they're top three results

TexasFording,

Can you provide some clarification for me? I've seen some websites mention that HN1T-14G381-SA is the appropriate file but when I log on to owner.ford.com, it says that HN1T-14G381-LG is the correct file for 2.2. I also see some posts that mention the file ending in SA is only for upgrading from the older build of 2.2 to the newer one.

Do you know which file would work for me upgrading from 2.0 to 2.2 (nav)? Thanks again.

Thanks again! I'll give HN1T-14G381-SA a try.

I successfully upgraded to 2.2 last night. I used an 8gb usb drive quick formatted to FAT32. It took less than 20min. Thanks TF!
