It worked!
I have a post July build 2016 F150 XLT with 2.0 already installed. I ordered HC3Z-19A387-B (BLUE BACKLIGHTING) from FordPartsGuru.com on 11/23. It showed up today, 11/30. I used a plastic trim tool kit and swapped out the part in under 5 minutes. Turned on the truck, plugged in the phone, and CarPlay launched. Worked like a charm. Thanks for posting the part numbers. Awesome!

Can some one do me favor and measure the front bezel of the usb module up down and left right. Either the new or old one is fine. I have swapped a sync 3 into mine that had sync 2. I need to replace the current module that has the sd/line in/usb with the new usb only module. I need to know if I have to get the bezel adapter or not.

the outer (face plate) dimensions of the module it 2 1/2 x 1 3/8
