Crooked bumper fixed!

I know it's an old thread, but thank you for this. Mine was crooked when I took delivery. Dealer ordered a new bumper on the spot. That one is crooked too. Only thing I gained was a gouge in my fender paint on my brand new truck when the tech muscled the new bumper on by himself. I was think I could shim it, but didn't realize how easy it would be. The sagging bumper drives me nuts on a daily basis, no matter how many times people tell me to ignore it. Just sloppy. The 18s seemed to have made the bumper/fender/grill connection much cleaner.
Not really. Still the case on my 18 XLT SE.

I've followed this thread for a while now since I wanted to work the bumper/fender space the other way around, I mean to increase it as I wanted to create a bigger gap to squeeze Raptor style LED DRLs in there. Job is almost done. I will post pics when completed. Thanks all for the info and tutorials. Been a great help.

Today, I tried the “crooked bumper fix”. I did everything according to the instructions laid out here. Everything looks better but, it’s still not where I want it. I just can’t seem to get the passenger side to go up enough. I may attempt again. I will have to devise something like a 2x4 to place behind the bumper and jack that up. The truck has never been wrecked. I wonder if the brackets were welded on just a little off at the factory or there is a slight twist in the bumper. The gap looks good all the way across the front. It may just not be enough adjustment in it.

After further inspection, I am convinced that the front bumper has a slight twist in it or it has a defect from the manufacturing process. It’s completely level across the front. The ends are off in opposite directions. I’m done fooling with it. I’ll just live with it. It’s not as bad as some of the others I’ve seen here.

Thanks danlong. I followed your write-up and just fixed my bumper sagging issue.
At first I had gaps wide enough to fit a finger. Now they are significantly better.

Sorry for not understanding
I'm still a little confused of where to put a shim.
My drivers side is sagging some.
I have a 2018 btw.
In the photo I attached it has arrows on it. Is this where you would place shims to straighten it up?
Thanks in advance!

No. See the pic below. The red arrow is the back side of one of the bolts that gets a shim. The 2 nuts that you remove from the front of the bumper are on this bolt and another that can't be seen to its right. The bolts are attached together via the black plastic piece that the arrow is pointing at and form a U-shape, this also helps as you don't need a wrench on the back side since the bolts can't spin. The yellow arrow is the nut that you'll need to loosen slightly to adjust the bumper.
The green arrows in your pic aren't anything related to this.
