Default Craigslist wheels

I plan to purchase dedicated winter tires so I’m in the market for used OEM wheels for my stock 2018 XLT Scab Sport 4X4 with factory 18" wheels.
I’m finding several sets of 17” and 20” wheels in my area.
Can these fit my truck without issues…i.e., clearance, speedo, other stuff that I’m unaware of?
Any downsides?
BTW...I don’t know much about vehicle things…I just drive ‘em.

That is strange because around here the 18" are the most common, being "upgraded" to 20".

In general if you want winter tires you want higher profile, which means 17" or 18". That I have noticed factory 18" and 20" are the same rolling diameter because the 20" tire is lower profile. Use a website such as TireRack.com to compare the rolling diameter (usually given in revolutions per mile) of the tires mounted on wheels you are considering. The main concern of 17" is whether it fits over your disc brakes.

Not enough information provided.

Can you fit 17" and 20" wheels, yes absolutely. Overall fitment and speedometer accuracy depends on what tire is wrapped around the wheel. If you found a set of 20" wheels with 34" tires on them, likely it will be a tight fit and the speedometer will be incorrect.
If all the tires are OEM sized, then yes it will be a direct swap.
The tire diameter of the 3 wheel sizes is virtually the same.

If you have doubts, just use an online tire calculator. Input your size to compare to what you find for sale and see how close they are. Could be about 1/8" between each.

Here is the best online tire and size calculator. Take a look and enter tires sizes

I have six spoke 17 inch OEM Ford alloy wheels running Michelin X-Ice 265/70R 17 snow tires on my 2019 Lariat SuperCab. Since they are OEM, they fit fine over the brakes. They also look nice but some prefer the gnarly look that non OEM aftermarket wheels sometimes present.
I bought mine used (in Florida so there was almost no wear or blemishes). I paid $100 for four wheels, added wheel sensors and bought the Michelins new.

I have a second set since I prefer the way they look to the PVD coated 20 inch wheels that my summer tires are mounted on. I may sell the fake chrome wheels and move to the 17 inchers, but the OEM Goodyears are wearing like iron.

Thanks for the replies and links. Greatly appreciate the knowledge drop.

I've located a set of identical "Sport" wheels in the area...
But now I read that our winter weather will be on hiatus for the 3rd straight year...La Nina...La Nino.
Maybe I'll just stay with a set of all-seasons. [hand wringing]

Our weather people predicted one of the highest count of hurricanes were coming this year. To date we have had three, the bad one that hit Florida and two small ones in the central Atlantic so beware of 'mild' weather predictions, especially in Colorado! Good luck.
