Angry Crackhead

New to the forums but not for the reason I’d like to be. Got a 2017 F150 with 193,000 highway miles great truck great body , it’s all aluminum. 5.0 developed a miss on cylinder number two. I did the common things like tested the coil and plug and injector. Then I took a borescope and looked inside the cylinder, and then one morning when the engine was cold, I found antifreeze leaking around the intake valve. I did a compression check about 175 hot. Number 1 210 number 3 205 Did a leak down test put 100 psi in the cylinder. It only held 87 and I heard a hissing coming out the intake when I remove the air filter housing. So apparently this head has cracked. do not know of any overheating episode. i’m thinking I’d be better off just to put a low mileage motor in it.With 193,000 miles I would probably want to do both heads ,timing chains phasers etc so that could end up costing more than a motor.

since the coolant is above the head gasket, the only thing I can think there’s a crack in your coolant leaking in the intake ports.

I would think new low mileage motor, also. Check prices and quality on re-man motors. Might be something to consider.
