Perhaps Ford should issue a TSB and replace all of the starter buttons on the gen 13 trucks with the metal starter buttons as used in the 40's. Mine is 72 years old and has never required replacement. Some high use items should never be made of plastic.

That's exactly where mine was cracked. Just got it replaced under warranty. Truck currently has 27k on it. Noticed it about 5k ago.

I don't have push button start. But I've seen a couple complaints about cracked start buttons on the Raptor forum.

Wonder if there is already a seam there in the button and the overlay that says “Engine” ends up cracking. Mine is not cracked but you can tell there is a seam behind in that same spot.

Quite possible. Mine feels very solid and has no play. Debating if I should try and cram it into my last 5 days of warranty this week or just let it be. I never noticed mine until this thread..... Thanks op haha.

Anyone have a vid or link with instructions on how to remove/replace this button? Mine is okay but I have to drop that panel for some light bar switches.
