Question Couple quick questions...

Loving my recently purchased 2017 F150 XLT 4x4 3.5 EcoBoost. Not crazy about the exhaust sound compared to my 2004 5.4 F150 4x4. The aftermarket brand isn't coming to mind at the moment but I do know the dealership added aftermarket exhaust. I was hoping I could change the sound and make it less annoying during slower speed driving. I like to hear the exhaust when I get on it... not speeds between 5-30 MPH. It's sounds like a damn Honda Civic on steroids. Not crazy about the lower speed shifting and hesitation. I'd like to add intake and tuner to improve overall performance. What tuners have you guys used? I want something that will improve overall performance and allow me to enter the 35" Toyo M/T tires for calibration. I appreciate any assistance.

Look into 5 Star Tuning. There are several others as well. Lots of info if you search this forum and the performance sub forum

Put the intake on the back burner until you get it tuned.

Tuned or not an aftermarket Cold Air Intake will not improve anything except for the hole in your wallet.

Yep, intake is a complete waste, unless you're doing massive power mods (substantially larger turbos, etc.)

As for the exhaust, it's a turbo V6. You can have it be quiet, or be ricey. It'll never sound like a V8.

I'm using an MPT 93PRX tune with an nGauge tuner. The tuner is "OK", but the tune is wild. I also have a Borla SType exhaust. Zero drone, but yeah, does get a little ricey, no one laughs though when all they see is a tailgate getting smaller. I'm glad I tried the 3.5 Ego, lots of power from it, the next truck I'll be going back to a 5.0 though. Don't care what anyone thinks, but I just like the V8 sound better. I could always put the OEM exhaust back on, I know. Little off topic.
