After showing a delivery date of 8/5 for awhile my delivery date dropped off my COTUS page. Today it reappeared with an ETA of 8/22...the same day my pickup was dropped off at the dealer. Is this kind of miss common?

 

Yes....more like a guideline than gospel.

 

It's a pretty well known fact that COTUS is very unreliable.

 

I was lucky, Mine came in 1 day before the cotus date. Built on July 29th, At the dealer Aug 1st.

 

Part of it is due to the scheduler. It updates on Thursday evening. So from ordering to in production, it will show on the following Friday even though production is the following week, then the following Thursday after it is built it will show up awaiting shipment, so if built on a Friday, it wont post until the following week. Then it can sit for a while in post production lots until enough for a particular area are ready to ship before they go on a train or truck. If only one truck is being delivered to a dealer in BoFo, then it will wait until there are enough for that area to ship. Once on a train though and at the depot, there are 12 days tops to get it out of there.

Mine is coming from Dearborn so most likely will ship by truck. Since there are plenty of dealers in this area, it should ship quickly, at least I hope it does. If it does work the way it did when I last ordered, then I should see it awaiting shipment this Friday.

 

COTUS caught up and says delivered. I'll go pick it up Monday.
