The purchase I was so happy about last week is now a regret. I was going to get an XLT with cloth seats, but went with leather only because it had cooled seats.

I don't think Ford is ever going to fix this.
How is your back doing this AM? I am glad my kids in the back seat haven't gotten burned yet from the hot seatback when they get their books out of the seat pocket.

Looks like FORD made enough profit they can dedicate some more resources to fixing the issues we are having..

Feels better this morning, thanks for asking. I'm talking with my dealership today. They want to schedule a time for me to come in a drop the truck off, but I'm hesitant knowing there is no fix available right now. I'm not ready to start wasting a lot of my time yet.

What I hope happens is someone posts a TSB here that I can print out, then I'd have something.

Exclamation

I'm thinking Ford could come up with an exhaust vent flat tube that exits out the back bottom of seat pretty easily. It would add to the thickness of the back but having a seat that doesn't work is ridiculous. My previous Dodge Ram had great cooling seats.

Who was your source for this information? An actual Ford engineer or employee or was it just a level 1 service rep at your local dealer giving you music to your ears that you want to hear but isnt actually happening! Let us know. I hope what you heard is spot on and true.

So what is the outcome from all of this? Ford admit there is a problem? Or are we on our own?

Glad to see some FLIR data. So my fix got rid of the hot spot on the back. I am still skeptical on how well it will cool based on some of the other issues but at least my fix got rid of the ruining the leather issue.

Agreed because a "snorkel" will not fix it 100% based on what I am finding.

Sorry if I missed it twakefield, do you have any before and after temp readings of the seat front side? Curious how much the bottoms and backs differ with your fix.
