I stopped by Al Packer Ford in White Marsh MD today. I spoke with Paul who has been there for 3 years and is one of 9 service managers. Of course he had not seen a single complaint about the seats and was unaware of the TSB till he looked it up....

He said he was going to order the part and let me know when it comes in.

My truck is a pre-march model so I still have the heat and cool seat icons on my Sync display. I told him I did not want my Sync screwed with or "updated" to remove them per whatever BS TSB is out there about the icons being confusing to people.

My truck does not seem to be exhibiting any of the other TSB symptoms except the seat AC. I will just keep my fingers crossed I guess.....

Honestly guys we all need to take a deep breath I can say with 100% certainty that we are in good hands and that Ford is on the right track with this fix.

Out of respect for Ford and all of our dealers lets give them the time to do this right and not rush the fix. They obviously have released the TSB which we have seen as owners (which we honestly have no right to see). If we rush them and lean on our dealers hard it will only create a mess of shipping and cost everyone more headaches and stress.

**I am NOT a paid Ford spokesman just FYI
Tim - I think most of the owners appreciate your efforts, engineering and detail toward a fix on the hot seat. Likewise they will welcome your evaluation of the TSB fix, when that time comes. Good luck with your business! And enjoy your new Ford truck!

Just so I'm clear, I do not need an appointment to have them order the parts to fix mine? I can just go to the dealership and show them the TSB (if they claim to be unaware) and not make an appointment until the parts come in? Thanks!

That's my plan. I'm stopping by Saturday morning and have them order everything they need. There may be a wait on the parts, and the service writer should call you once the parts come in.

And a good point was made about updating the Sync seat/steering wheel button display (I haz the buttons displayed), and will be sure to mention to them not to update anything other than the seat back TED unit.

I tried to do that today, the dealer said they will not order parts based on a TBS that is identical to the reason for a previous visit - without making an appointment and having it looked at first.

Doesnt cost anything - but does waste 2 hours of a day. Which is stupid.

ugh, recommended dealer (who's across town) "has never heard of this problem" and needs to keep the truck a whole day to diagnose the prob.

Wow these dealers just kill me... Freaking losers.

Keep on them...

I just emailed my dealer and they are on it. I told them you are already aware my seats don't work lets get this started. So they are. (Crossing my fingers)

My email back from them:

OK we have reviewed the TSB and placed the order for the needed parts - these numbers are so new they are not even priced yet which won't make a difference to you as it is a warranty repair but we were concerned if Ford's parts system would accept the order. It did take it but says the parts have not yet been received from the supplier. We requested an ETA and Ford indicated they will provide a disposition in the morning. We will keep you updated.

Default Seat cooling issue

My F150 Lariat is 3 months old and neither seat cools to a noticeable difference on the back, the bottom seems to be fine. Called dealer service and they claimed the seats are operating as designed and that "this is normal operation." There is a TSB to fix the issue. Also my tailgate is stuck in the closed position and is unusuable at the moment. Hopefully Ford will fix both issues.

Try pushing the tailgate in while pushing the button.

that is why I took mine in 2 weeks ago, got it in writing that the seats don't work, and don't have to go back till the dealer gets my parts, which they have all ready ordered. but not going to get too excited just yet, might be awhile till they get here
