Mine worked ok until a few weeks ago. Completely unbearable now! Took it to the dealer and got the typical "cannot replicate". Really? Can't replicate your back feeling like you are standing next to a fire?

Perfect timing with August in Houston around the bend.

Love the truck otherwise, but I will gladly take my 2010 cooling seats back please!

Was going to buy the wife an Expedition, not now, not unless this is fixed while we are still in the market.

Subscribed to thread, praying for TSB!

Mine blew out the first time I took the truck up to 75mph! Looks much better now! Not sure if it's leaking water into the truck as it might of just been to keep the two parts from banging together.

I work with a guy that just bought a brand new F250 Lariat and his seats do the same thing. This is gonna cost Ford alot of money in the long run and it's gonna take forever for them to make everybody that complains right.

My wife and I were thinking about trading her Honda CRV for a Ford Edge and I know she likes to have leather seats... Not gonna happen now... Gonna stay away from Ford for a while don't want to have two problem child's.
Its not going to cost them much trust me. They are going to pay us techs a couple tenths of an hour to install a cheap $5 vent tube and call it good. Ford warranty pay is a joke. You guys wonder why most techs don't give a **** about warranty jobs, I could show you some warranty labor times that would make even a non-mechanic cringe.
And by the way I am not saying it is right when a tech makes BS excuses and doesn't put 100% effort into a job that is warranty. That is not the way I operate, I treat every vehicle I work on as if it were my own and take pride in fixing them properly. I am just making a point that Ford really likes to stick it in deep and break it off in the techs when it comes to warranty.

Default As Sgt. Schultz said..."I know nut....theeng!"

Denial until the end....I also usually have to show dealer TSB and then they listen like I know of what I speak.

After sending links to F-150, Mustang, Focus etc sites regarding this problem I got the following response from RCSM......

While I do recognize the forum entries you havepresented, per our conversation once I get a diagnosis from your currentdealership… I can review any repair options at that time. Did you have itofficially diagnosed at a dealership ? if so, who is your service advisor?

Note, "officially diagnosed".....after hundreds or thousands have already done so, I am asked to take it to my dealer.....I politely refused and await the "fix" from Ford.....which I am kinda expecting a "round 2" on since their solution will probably not be as comprehensive as twakefield's, but will await their fix to judge that....oh to have my 2013 seats in my 2015!!

I live in Houston as well and the seats get pretty uncomfortable when they are that hot. I went to Auto-nation Ford in Katy and got the same response as you. They went and sat in a brand new truck and said its normal.

I think it's sad the way they treat you guys... I have heard the story's. We have a ex BMW tech and quit and now works offshore because of that same thing. He said he moved up so high that he got all of the complicated issues and was not making any money because the time he had to spend on each car and the way it sounds them BMW have way more computer bells and whistles going on in that thing.

We also have alot of ex Nissian Plant guys and they can also tell you some story's.

We are trying to make sure our complaints about the seats are "officially documented" and recorded with Ford and yet, can you imagine how many "undocumented owners" have approached dealers/salesmen/techs and have been told that the seatback cooling situation is normal..... without a single means to record the "turn-aways"!! We are maybe more enlightened or just stubborn and pursue that answer beyond the "Gee....OK" level.

Thanks to all the active Forum members that dig in on issues and refuse to give up easily. I have your back.....is that a pun or what....smile

Post "That is NORMAL..."

Sorry guys! Lucky me I got a XLT. No leather seats from FORD. I had a 2015 Mustang fully loaded - and also loaded with lots of issues. That the seats didn't cool down was only a small problem. The whole car was "crooked" and not one body panel lined up with another. After 100's of warranty hours (I think...) my dealer bought the car back. They couldn't fix it but agreed that it was a nightmare with all the issues it had.

Ford's comments? "That is all NORMAL for a 1st year model..."

I hope for you guys that everything works out fine.

I have been looking between a 2016 'Stang and the new 2016 Camaro.....both virtually 1st year cars...I will look very closely now since I was leaning towards the 2nd year 'Stang.......oh well....

I tried to clean, didn't help.

How is this issue going for you? Any replacement of the seat coverings yet? I saw an earlier post from you on July 2, 2015 showing when you first put the packing material in the seat pocket to provide additional ventilation to the seat and you seat backs looked perfect.

So, this damage only took 22 days?????
