Totally understand! As I told Tim before the first time I had installed the kit I noticed the force of the air coming out the back seat was much stronger. Is it possible the power of the ted is reduced after startup or something? I only seem to notice the force of the air when the truck is under the carport in cool shade. When the truck is out in the open I dont notice any air coming from the seat back. The bottom cools well but it always has to be on 3 bars. I just wish there was some way to get the seat back to cool as well as the seat bottom!! Ive also routed the intake tube into the back feet exhaust port but I dont notice this making any difference & wonder if its better for the intake tube to be more out in the open than shoved into the feet vent...However, if the seat bottom is cooling well then it must be something else ...

Used mine today,,, felt really cool right away.. Of course the outside temperature was 62F and the cab was probably lower than that.. But checked and doesn't fell like any air blowing out of the seats..

Well yes if temps are under 80 degrees outside the seats cool well. But if temps go over 80 and up you hardly feel the seat back cooling at all. However the seat bottom does cool over time even if it's over 80s outside. I just wonder if we could get a bigger ted or 2 lol like I said earlier if we could get cooling on par with seat I'd be happy.
FWIW got in the truck this morning temps were 74. Cooled seats were actually working great even the seat back got cold...I just don't think the ted can handle temps much higher than 80 and that's the issue...

It will always cool your seat if installed correctly, but cooling is a relative term. If your seats are 140 degrees and they are able to be cooled down to 100, it still works well, but the environment limits what this system can do. The air is never chilled, it is only cooled relative to the current temperature. A lazy and penny pinching way to do it, but for the majority of the time, it works fine.

Is this mod (or fix if you will) work on the 2017 models as well?

2016 Lariat - Cooled Seats Problem with software

All,
I have a 2016 Lariat I purchased in December for the discounts, both seats have very low air flow, the low, medium, high selection has no control it always low flow. My local dealership has troubleshot the issue. They replaced SCME module performPMI and still had the same results, but when compared to a2017 vehicle there is a noticeable difference.

The problem is with the versions of software in the 2015 and 2016's as compared to the 2017.

So the 2017 works fine, my 2016 not so much, very disappointing that Ford will not recall our trucks and make them functional. My dad is retired from Ford he called the union hall Wednesday June 21st, obtained the number of there customer service and quality rep, we have both left 3 messages each with our numbers and brief description and cant even get a response.

I hate to say this but maybes its time to look at Tundra's.

I suggest everyone having this issue go sit in a 2017 model for comparison.

Very disappointed in Ford right now, having grew up in the Ford family I know they are capable of doing better.

Not sofware issue. There is next to zero air flow out of of the seat backs, the bottom is ok at best. Mine is a April build 2017
