For the C-7 the usual complaint is they do not heat well compared to other GM seats. They cool very well. The ones in my 14 Stingray do not get hot, just warm on heat. However they will freeze you on cool.

Most likely the previous versions were resistive heat and not a TED for heating. I am hoping that manufacturers go back to the resistive heat (like the rear seats) as they are quicker to heat and more consistent.

Fwiw I was recently in a lexus with cooled seats and it was much worse than the ford. It was more ventilated than cooled. I doubt that 15 degrees is correct...if the temps in the truck were 85 your telling me the seats can cool to 70?! No way. The only time the seats cool well is when outdoor temps are in the 70s. It would be nice is there was a way to increase the strength of the air blowing in the back and just a tad more in bottom. I almost feel like the back portion of the seat cools better when your back isn't up against it do you guys find the same thing? I guess it would be good if someone good get actual temps reading of the back and bottom in 80+degrees temps

You are correct if there is no where for the air to go it will all go out the exhaust tube that you installed. The air takes the path of least resistance and if you are blocking off the whole back perforations with your back it has no way to flow.

Default Corvette C7 Ventilated Seats

Thought I would share this link to the Corvette C7 Forum... especially look at Post #17 as it give a good tutorial of how their seats are designed.

Note in the posts that many owners complain about "cooling" while others praise it. Heating is almost universally thought to be poor! It struck me that this is just one example of a parallel universe of sorts to our Ford seats. Granted, they never had the "hot spot" of the original '15 Ford design, but it is interesting how differing opinions can be of the "same" seat....smile...AZPLAT

Just an idea. I have the latest kit installed and it is an improvement but not great. When I had the back of the seat opened I thought what if I relocated TED under the seat and plumbed the air back up into the seat back. Of course using an adequate sized and insulated return. There seems to be plenty of room under the seat and the electrical relocation would not be that hard.

Worth a try Jim ski? Honestly if these seats could really drop temps by 15 degrees that would be great along with greater airflow when your back is pressed against the seat. For some reason I feel like the back seat was blowing better when I first did the install than now...I also have the intake tube run into the rear passenger feet ac

They work great in my 14 Stingray, when the AC is set to 70 or lower, and the air is going to the floor. 90% better than the ones in my F-150.

Heat for seats takes for ever in the Stingray, but I do not drive it under 40 degrees out due to the rubber on the tires, summer only tires

The A/C routes through center console to exit through vents for rear seat passengers. Wonder if there is a way to route Sestguru's intake tubing so it draws from that source.....

Volt I added spare tube to the intake side and routed it to the rear passenger feet ac vent. It helps with cooling but the problem is then you get no cooling from the forward vents. You can do forward vents and feet but then the forward vents blow really weak even on high. I feel like having the forward vents on only they help cool the seats much better than the TED...I wish there was a solution to get really good cooling
