Pulled the turbo, put it all back together, now it was leaking from behind the driver side head. I never could get that fitting out and sent it away. If I had to do it again I'd consider it but Id START by pulling the intake and getting those head fittings loose, if they dont come out I'd send it away.

Maybe if I had taken the intake off I could have gotten that fitting out of the back of the head but I was just done at that point.

I was finally able to get some time to take a better look. I’m pretty sure it is leaking from this top fitting. Would I be able to just pull that fitting and replace it without messing with anything else? The videos I saw said good luck replacing that line so I definitely won’t be getting into that. This one fitting is very reachable though

Default Yes

Yes. But moving the line will disturb the o-ring seal at the other end located behind the head. Moving the line may cause that one to begin leaking too.

Expect O-ring resiliency is poor in all fittings. That’s how all of mine were when replaced recently. Ends of the line likely exhibit some corrosion and may need to be sanded smooth or replaced too. My coolant is over maintained, yet here is a photo typical for my line ends.

Parts and materials from a dealership including all new lines were a bit over $400. And it took me over thirty man hours to accomplish in the driveway. Pulled the intake manifold and coolant cross over for access behind the heads. Also moved starter and AC compressor for access on the passenger side. It was a long and tedious job due to all the parts removed to gain access to the coolant line fittings.
