Default Console shifter rattle

Does anyone with a console shifter have a bad rattle from the release button when driving over bumpy roads?

I have the same issue and it's driving me nuts. Only happens when it's warm outside. Need to head to the dealer in the next couple of weeks

It's been in the mid 90s here for the last couple of weeks and I'm noticing it now too.

Honestly I think a lot of the interior plastics/materials are cheap crap that expand and contract too much with temp changes

I have not noticed this at all yet and it's been 95 here in Florida. So if you hold the button it stops?

Cheap Plastics in a Ford. Reading around here I thought you only found that in Chevy, Toyotas, ect. LOL... I guess they all get there plastic from china.

Mine does the same but a slight little tap stops the rattle (for now).

For now I just put my hand on the shifter.

I was just curious. I won't worry about getting it looked at for now. The dealer will probably do more damage to other parts.

No, maybe you could spray a little silicone on it.
