Where, my gold claim? I'd recommend a couple of claim sites that are open to tourists south of Anchorage in the Girdwood area. The others with claims around mine are not very open to strangers, who they treat as claim jumpers. First time I took my wife out to the site, I went around and introduced her to everyone within 5 miles of my claim. Took about 6 years before she was accepted as supposed to be there by everyone.
