I've done this multiple times on different cars. No issues.

 

This is how you clear remembered values on chevy stuff per the manual. I'm sure it works on here too.

 

I realize this is an old thread, but I have questions;

What symptoms were you having with shifting that lead you to this PCM reset?
What does resetting the PCM gain you?
Does it still retain the previous version of the PCM software or would you still want or need to go to dealer for any PCM software updates?
