Default Computer hiccup?

Drove our 2019 about 25 miles to get some groceries yesterday - no problem. Came out of the store and started it up for the return trip, and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree, and got the weird dhime warning that something was wrong. The brake, light was on, as well as the little wrench light, the alternator, traction, and a few other lights were lit. I figured it must be a computer error - truck has only 3370 miles on it so I started back home.
The steering felt really heavy, and there was no cruise control. I called our dealer service dept via the DIAL command, and the computer voice kept stuttering and breaking up, but it did make the call. Made an appointment to have it checked.
THen we started to smell something hot - brakes? I pulled off the highway, and it dawned on me to shut down and restart, figuring that maybe it would reset things. On the restart, half the lights went back off, including the brake light.
Pulled back on the road and noticed that the steering was back to normal, and it was running a little better, but still no cruise control. Had one more stop to make, and when I restarted after that, everything was back to normal, including the cruise.
Anybody else have the same experience?
If so, what was the outcome?

Low Voltage. Check your battery connections and battery condition.

I took the truck to the dealer this morning, and they told me that this is caused by the Allstate Insurance monitor that plugs in to the diagnostic port under the dash. It malfunctioned, and disabled the ABS, which is tied to all the other control/warning systems in the truck. They removed it and told me to get a new one from Allstate.

Then on the way home I hit the button to turn off the Autostart/stop function, and the radio came on!

On a separate issue, they told me that the gap I see in the truck bed floor between the passenger side wheel well and the front wall of the box is normal. They make it that way so they can replace segments of the bed in case of collision damage. Huh? A 1/4 inch gap? They suggested that I might caulk it to seal against water (which I've already had trouble with).

My hemmorhoids are whispering that they sense smoke ...

Driving any vehicle with the brake light on is extremely dangerous for you and everyone else on the road. You should've had it towed in to a dealer. It could've been a glitch or actual brake failure. You also state that the steering was heavy so control of the truck was also questionable. You could've completely loss steering and brakes.

There is a reason the warning lights and messages are red and amber. Any RED warning lights require immediate attention of the driver. They indicate something is wrong that could put your safety at risk or could leave you on the side of the road.

Come on man, he's had a rough time. The PSA you provided sure won't help.
