Default Compensation for extended wait?

Just wondering if anyone has been able to renegotiate the price for the 3.5/10 speed for waiting so long for their truck. I ordered my truck on 8/29/16. The dealer told me when I asked that my truck was going to be delivered to them by the end of January. They said they needed the sale because it's been a slow month, so they were going to push Ford. Has anyone been successful getting a lower price or some other compensation for the wait. I know it's not the dealers fault but Ford should cough up something. Any stories?

I ordered my raptor about the same time, lost patience and boosted a 16 5.0 instead. I too asked about some sort of compensation and they basically laughed. They stopped laughing when I took my deposit back and went to another dealer

Once the dealer puts the order in, they have done their part. They have no control over the factory and most will laugh at you to expect any serious compensation outside of maybe some swag or a free oil change for the trouble.
