Default Collision Warning Not Available Message

I keep getting the "Collision Warning Not Available" message on my dash screen once I start the car.

It disables the ability to turn the Collision warning on or off in the settings and also disables the cruise control all together.

A few times this week I also get the "Front Camera blocked" warning as well while driving, but mostly just the first one warning.

Forscan is showing DTC codes in a few modules - I reset the modules and the codes cleared and stayed off for a few starts afterwards but then the next morning the message re-appears.

Is this a sign the windshield camera needs replacing?

If my windshield is frosted or iced over in front of the interior rear view mirror, I get the same messages. That’s where the collision sensor camera is. I read there was a heat wire near this to lessen the issue but have yet to see it.

The front collision sensor is in the rear-view mirror? Are you sure that's correct?

I've read it's the camera in the windshield and radar sensor in the bumper.

It's been in the 50s here the last few days so It's nothing to do with frost and the windshield is clear.

That's exactly where your photo is pointing to...

Sorry I was thinking you meant in the actual mirror, not the box directly behind it containing the windshield camera.

Anyway, this afternoon I drove it and didn't get any warning messages - the adaptive cruise control worked fine too, so it seems to be an intermittent thing.

Does anyone have the part number for the camera? Is it easy to replace?

Just wondering if you are leveled. My truck doesn't have the fancy stuff like adaptive cruise but when I bought it, it was leveled and owned by the dealer sales manager. It had some message on startup when I test drove it about something like that and I asked him. He said he'd just been ignoring it. They had to calibrate the camera.

I bought it used but I believe it's stock. I never measured, but it looks to have a small rake to it still.

I pulled the DTC via Forscan and it's showing this under CCM:

Code: U3000 - Control Module

Additional Fault Symptom (:49):
- Internal Electronic Failure

Status (-2E):
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC

Module: Cruise-Control Module

Freeze Frame #1:
-EVENT_TIME: 285742053 s (Mon Feb 24 11:45:03 2025) - Event time

The issue is intermittent...this morning the adaptive cruise control was working fine, but then this afternoon it put the message over again and disabled it. Sometimes while driving it starts working again. I tried clearing and resetting the CCM module but it's still happening. Would this indicate I have to replace the module behind the bumper?

Mine gives me an error every once and awhile but I noticed on mine it appears something in the camera assembly has slipped down in the view of the camera..

I just havent had the time to fully take it apart nor take it into Ford (I have ESP)

Just a thought maybe yours has the same issue as mine.. Looks like two orange lines going horizontal (mine it looks like the plate moved)

I think the orange defrost lines are only on the 2018+ models... I don't think they had that prior.

Mine doesn't have them but I can see the camera inside and it appears to be okay. Also the lane departure and auto high beams appear to be working fine, even with the error message on.

It seems like it's only affecting the collision avoidance and cruise control which leads me to believe maybe it's the radar module in the bumper.

Problem is it's a $750 part and that could be a gamble. Forscan is showing a fault on the C-CM - is that the same radar module inside the bumper?
