Collision Warning
I have a 2017 F150 Lariat. The other day I rear ended a car with a very slight tap. Zero damage to the car in front but my truck had the plastic bumper insert destroyed. That is a simple fix, but I have other issues. First, when I start the car I get a "collision warning" message. It has an "on / off" setting in the message but I can't seem to change anything. How do I clear this warning? It seems this message is just telling me that I had a collision in the past?? Second, I cannot turn on my cruise control anymore. I think this may be because of the collision warning and I'm thinking that once I can clear the warning this should work again. Is this right?
Do you have adaptive cruise control? If the radar sensor is damaged/disconnected, it will render the entire cruise control system inoperable.
The "collision warning" - have a pic? I suspect the error is actually that the collision avoidance system isn't functioning... which also uses the front radar, same as adaptive cruise.

ok you're genius. just checked and in fact the front radar was disconnected. when the bumper insert shattered it pushed on the radar connector and broke the connector shroud. it also bent the pins back. i removed it, straightened out the pins and glued the shroud back on and it works perfectly. thanks a lot.
