Default Cold right foot

Recently bought a 2018 Lariat. I really like the truck so far, however, my right foot seems to always have cold air blowing on it, no matter what the temperature is set at.
I talked to a friend who had two '17 F150's, he said one did and one didn't.
Anyone experienced this, is there any fix by the dealer?

just my opinion.

Do you have dual heat/air controls??

Can you change the air around from vent, to defroster, to floor??
On both sides??

If not, it could possibly be a blend door issue.

Just a thought,

Don't know much about the newer models, but on the older ones that would likely be a blend door, and they were a high failure item in the late 90 and early 2000s due to the hinge breaking.

Blend doors are little flaps inside the climate system. They are used to mix (blend) warm and cold are to get your cabin to the temperature you have set on your climate control head. They are also used to direct air flow to the defrost, dash and footwell vents,

It's the part making noise inside the dash when you change AC settings (not the fan). It redirects airflow as commanded. On past 150s the hinge would break and cause a range of issues depending on the position when it broke.

EDIT McObra beat me to it.

My wife thought I was crazy when I commented on this about my 2018 Lariat. It’s the first vehicle I’ve ever owned where my right foot is cold rather than being 10° warmer than the left foot. I actually had to put tape on the vent on my ‘10 Acadia because my shoe was getting so hot.

There is some older discussion on this in an ac post, the sentiment as I recall was it was the new normal for Ford. That and changing the performance for some.
