Does anyone know what the TSB fix actually does? I see they replace the entire hose, but does it still have a check valve or is it eliminated?

I dont believe anyone has posted if ford uses a redesigned check valve or what. Hopefully someone who has the TSB performed. Will post, what the updated parts are.

Whether its a new hose and straight coupler, or a redesigned checkvalve....

It's like the opposite of putting a hot plate in a sink of cold water.
I used several for years, all aftermarket, never the GM version. Never cracked a windshield, even at -50F in International Falls, MN. One did overheat but I had installed a fuse (don't remember size but think it was 10Amp) and that blew without any damage. Got a replacement under warranty.

Just a suggestion to get around the living in the cold parts of North America issue.

That happened to me. I could hear the pump, but no spray. I took it to the dealer and he found on of my lines was kinked, now it will spray over my roof!

A drill bit will go through ice,,, but that's not even the problem as there is no ice. In the check valve where you are drilling.

Ok, sorry if this is obvious and I’m just missing it – When you remove the check valve (Thanks Todd for the pics) what part do you drill out on it? Or if you remove it all together, how do you connect the 2 hoses back together?

I had mine in for an oil change yesterday and asked them to do the TSB but parts are backordered. I’m taking an ice fishing trip and really would prefer my washer fluid to be operational. Thanks guys.

Look at picture #4 in post #12, the one where he looks through the valve. Now pickup your valve and do the same. You can't. Why? Because there is a check valve in the middle. Drill it out, then pickup the valve and look through it again. Now you can see. Done.

If you removed it all together, the hoses would not be connected. Again, see the pictures in post #12.

OK, got it. That makes sense. I will give it a shot tonight. Thanks, Rick!
