Default Code P0172

My 2017 f150 5.0 started making a weird tinging noise when I accelerate but stops when I let go of the gas. Then today throws a P0172 code. I suspect there to be a vacuum leak within the IWE solenoid and check valve. Would that leak potentially cause a "fuel too rich bank 1" code? I need a little advice lol

The ping you hear is the mixture is to Lean.
The long term fuel table or both are shifted negative more than 20% ,setting the code. The tables shifting negative is taking fuel away and aggravating the tendency to Ping.
You need to look at both banks Tables to be sure its only one bank and go on that basis.
If both are shifted, it is an issue common to both banks.
if only one bank, the issue is more localized.
It might even be low fuel pressure.
Good luck.
