So I have a 2015 F150 2.7 EB all Stock except for cosmetic appearance, has about 14K and some change on the motor and tranny. Under certain circumstances when Im cruising down the road and the truck is in 5th gear and downshifts to 4th gear it slams into 4th, and when i mean slams you can hear it in the cab and the truck will actually slow down quite a bit and jolt you forward some in your seat. Seems like when the RPM's are in that sweet spot it happens the most. Brought it to the dealer said there was nothing wrong with the truck and that they all do that for.Well i haven't seen one thread or post about this issue yet so i was wondering if you guys could help me out on what it could be thanks.

Ive got 2k miles and my 2.7 does not do that... I would call the dealers bluff and tell them lets drive one off the lot...of it does it...fine...if not...fix it?
Good luck!

It's a common problem and addressed by a TSB. A few threads on this already. Search function is your friend...

This is the TSB. Had the same issue. Took it in and showed them this. Fixed it in a half hour. Service manager said that TSB was what they used. Shifts smooth as silk now.

Had the same issue as you, brought to the dealership and drove 10 miles with the shop foreman...He noticed the issue. Mine was in the "Sport" shift mode. We then went back to the lot and drove a new truck right off the lot, and it wasn't happening in that one. So the foreman called the Ford tech line, and they suggested some tests, which he performed, and then subsequently reprogrammed the PCM and the adaptive strategy, and its all fixed. Haven't had an issue since. Don't accept the "all the trucks do it" line they certainly do not...
