Default Clunk Sound

2016 Lariat 3.5 EB SCREW

Hey guys, thanks for helping me diagnose my erratic windshield wipers. I’m back with a new problem and a new thread.

Recently, I’ve been hearing a thunk/clunking sound under the truck while turning left. The sound is louder the faster I am going. Usually I only hear it on 90 degree turns to the left. Just one audible CLUNK and then nothing. This has happened in the past, and it lasts for about a week or two and then the sound disappears for months and then randomly resurfaces for a week or two.

ideas?

Anyone have ideas? Turns out the sound happens turning right as well. A single THUNK under the truck when turns are made at 10 mph or faster.

Maybe check the bushings on your leaf springs. Mine are clunking now because I need to change the shackles.

Your best bet is to get it on a lift and have someone check it out.
