Default Climate control airflow

Has anyone else noticed that when the ventilation is set to the floor only, that there is a small amount of airflow coming out through both of the side window defrost vents? Doesn’t do it when the venilation is set to the dash vents only. It’s kind of annoying as you can’t turn it off, and it’s just enough to direct a little airflow into your face and eyes.

Well the flow has to go somewhere since it never seems to go to the floor. I think it goes mostly to the defroster.

I get plenty to the floor. And I don’t really feel any at the windshield, but that’s such a wide vent that there could be some airflow and I’m just not feeling it. But the air coming from the side window vents is just enough to be annoying.

When set to floor there is always a small amount directed to the defogger vents. When heating, having constant warm air on the windows is to prevent fogging and icing.

Anyone know if this can be changed with FORScan? I prefer to add defrost airflow when I think it’s needed, not when Ford does. When I select floor only, that’s what it should be.

Prolly not with FORScan. Duct tape over the "offending" vent openings would work. Then you could pull it off when your side windows fogged up.

Mine too. This is insane. My feet can be freezing and I have to roll windows down because it’s too warm up top. Very frustrated with new truck.
