I have a question regarding leather, more precisely King Ranch leather. Is anybody averse to using Armor All Leather Wipes as an in between?

I stay away from everything Armor All, I would use the Mequiars wipes as an in between. Why? Because I like Meguiars products and in my opinion Armor All is garbage. Just a personal preference.

But the general product of Leather Wipes is an ok in between substitute?

I don't personally have leather but I don't see why not. As long as the wipes don't contain alchohol or any other drying agents I see no harm in using wipes. Just make sure your using a conditioner periodically per the manual.

owner's Manual actually says to just use water with a gentle soap, like dawn for in between.

I maybe off base here but IMO, using water on leather is asking for deteriorated, cracking leather. If water is absorbed into leather, the ending result is shrinkage and drying, water and leather do not mix. A damp cloth periodically might be ok but why risk it? I don't trust the owners manual that far....

Hate to admit it, but for all surfaces other than leather, I still love the original armor all!

Woolite and water is a great and gentle cleaner for leather. Cheap & available everywhere. Duragloss 221 is a great leather conditioner and their car wash soap is considered by many to be the best out there. Available at local Carquests Auto Parts as well as on line.
