Default Childproof lock on door will not be deactiveated

I’ve got a 2018 Platty Screw. (I call it “The Kingdom”.) The rear doors are childproof. Driver’s side is fine, however, the passenger side is not. It won’t open from the inside. I can set (using my key) the lock on the edge of the door on or off all I want, but I still can’t open it from the inside.

Thoughts?

Seems likely, was hoping someone would have some idea that could save me from it...

Pull the panel off and take a look. Videos online show how it comes off. If it looks lime an easy fix, go for it. If not warranty. Hopefully it’s just an adjustment

Are you unlocking it first? This may sound like a snarky comment, but it is not. I noticed as well, that the rear doors cannot be opened like the fronts, by just pulling the handle. You have to actually unlock the doors, electronically or manually to open the rear doors. This is regardless of whether or not the child lock is activated.

Pretty sure I checked that but I’ll give it a shot.

There are videos, I see. I can give it a shot. It’s not like my Apple hardware, right? That is, I don’t void a warranty by opening part of it up like that, I hope.
