I just drove my truck today after making the adjustment and I'm happy to say my door is perfect now. No more jiggling over bumps and no chattering of the weatherstripping. Quite happy now! What a simple job to fix an annoying issue.

Could tightining these bolts possibly fix the "door gap issue" that many are experiencing? Mine look all good except for the bottom sticks out about a 1/4 inch.

If you loosen the bottom bolt, you can bring the bottom of the door tighter to the cab so it doesn't stick out. Then just torque it back down.

The top of my drivers door was sticking out and I had chattering and jiggling when going over bumps. It now sits flush and the door is silent.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I had a question about this. My driver side door is sticking about an 1/8 in. and when driving down the highway it sounds like a window is down, but I know it's because of the door sticking out. Will this fix it? I tried taking it to the dealer I bought it from but they're saying it's because of the new aluminum body and blah blah blah they're idiots and don't know what they're doing. It took them less than an hour (about 30-45 minutes) to check out my coolant system and the door alignment and tell me there's absolutely nothing wrong.

It's almost like the driver side door is slanted towards the front, leaving the back sticking out.
Edit: I can actually cause the door to move by just lightly applying pressure to it. None of the other doors move, even with alot of pressure on them.

Yes, the top bolt adjustment will fix this. My door looked exactly the same. Mine sits perfectly flush now.

The front of the door intentionally sits slightly under flush to the frame by design so don't worry much about that. Just loosen the upper bolt in the diagram I posted. Move the door in slightly, then tighten it enough so you can test it. Once satisfied, torque it down to 35 lb.ft.

Well I did that and the top sits better but now the bottom is sticking out. I tried loosening the bottom and adjusting it but then the top came back out. Uggggg

Yeah, mine sticks out a bit at the bottom, but I don't mind it since the top no longer jiggles and chatters when going over bumps. I may play around with it a bit more at some point, but the chattering sound of the weatherstripping was driving me nuts and now it's silent. I think you can keep adjusting them inward until both top and bottom are flush. End result would be that the entire door sits tighter to the body.

Yeah I may just leave it be for now. I can't really tell if it's any better because the wind is so strong here in Midland, Tx right now, but it definitely looks ALOT better now! Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for the useful info, seadragon. My drivers side door was also sticking out at the top. I adjusted the top bolt like you suggested and it is now flush. I also noticed the 2 bolts were not overly tight and had a rattle type noise like you described when going over very rough roads.

My bottom is actually not sticking out after the adjustment. However, before I did the adjustment I noticed the gap between the 2 doors is not even - wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. For now, I'm not going to mess with it.

I'll be very happy if the rattle is fixed after the adjustment. My passenger side is perfect. Interesting that a few of us are only seeing this on the drivers side.

I had the same issue with the top of my drivers side door not sitting flush. Adjusting the top bolt resolved it.
