Default Check engine light

I got my truck back last week after having the cam phasers replaced for the second time(once at 60k and again at 105k). I had developed the dreaded sound from the phasers at cold start up which eventually threw a check engine light. I had my local parts store scan the codes and they were "crank angle position sensor" and " cam shaft position sensor" faults, so I brought the truck to a local shop to have the repair made. I had been driving the truck for a few days after having the phasers fixed, and sometimes the truck would have a really rough idle, like its almost going to go dead. It did this for a few days, but not all the time, maybe 50/50. Some of the time, it would drive perfect. Friday evening I go to pick some food up and it was running rough and the engine light came on. I took it back to the parts store on Saturday, they scanned my truck and the same check engine lights from before. The shop where I had my truck fixed is a small private shop, not a dealer. I think they will be able to diag the issue, but I'm curious to see if any of y'all have experienced the same issue and what the repair was, maybe i can point the shop in the right direction.

You need a dealer diagnosis or someone that knows the operstion of the cam controls because the repair may need some program resetting or the VCT control solenoids need replacement.
They need to put their computer on, and look at live data and command operating the VCT solenoids to see what is going on.
The shop that did the job may have not have done all that is needed after parts replacement.
Only way to be sure. Anything else is just guessing.
Good luck.
