Default check engine light

Have 2016 F150. Engine light has came on for a few days and goes off for a few days , gives Cat. Efficiency read out since 78000 miles Auto repair shop called Ford and was told it is a computer programming problem. Dealer has a Flash to fix this . However once you tell dealer original code they turn deaf to all other discussions . Am I the only one with this problem?

That should be covered under the 8 year/ 80000 mile emission warranty.

Default Light

Would have been at 78000 . Told dealer on Thursday, told me to bring in on Tuesday. Light went out on Saturday, called Monday and service told me unless light was on, nothing they could do. Light stayed off until 81000.
Thank you that was good to know.

Did you stop at the dealer and have them create a service ticket at 78,000? If so, you should be good, as the problem was reported before the warranty expired. It usually does not matter if they could not duplicate it at that time, just that it was reported.
