Default Check engine light on.

Truck has been running great. I get in last night and the check engine light is on. And stays on. It recently has gotten very cold where I live. If that matters. Any ideas to what it could be without using a code reader? 2015 F-150 King Ranch

Generic overview;

Amber light= emissions fault

Red light= critical fault, don't drive the truck

most auto parts chains will read the code for free, without the code being read, no way to know.
