This morning I was headed to work and I was almost there when a “Check 4x4” message popped up on the dash as well as a wrench icon. Some background:

I have a rough country leveling kit installed

I was 8 miles into a 9 mile drive - 4x4 engaged the whole time on snow covered roads

Everything seemed to be and seems to be working fine. I shut off the truck at work and turned it back on, which cleared the wrench icon. Shifted into 4x4 and rolled back and forth a little bit and the message didn’t pop up.

What could I be looking at here? Just a fluke? Could I have damaged anything while installing the level kit? I installed one on my old 09’ F150 so I have some experience with the front end.

Worried about issues coming back when I really need 4x4.
