Default Cheap bicycle mount using Boxlink

I went through the other threads documenting solutions for bicycle mounts in the beds of the F150. All use a metal bar or wood going between 2 Boxlinks with fork mounts bolted to them.

I wanted something easier and cheaper that could bolt directly to the Boxlink itself.

Found the perfect mount on Amazon. It’s the only one that has a bracket wide enough to have holes spaced 120mm apart to line up with the Boxlink holes. The holes come 134mm apart but you can tell there is enough space to drill a new hole to get the 120mm spacing. From their you just send a bolt through the holes of the mount and Boxlink with a nut on the back side.

Here is the link on Amazon if you want to pick one up.

Clean, effective, sturdy and cheap! 15 bucks!

Nice and clean. It's unfortunate there aren't two of those boxlink connectors on the front of the box.

It needs more than a bungee cord to keep it from swinging forward

Can you fit two bikes with one of these mounts on each side?

I did about 60 miles yesterday with the bike in the back. 80 on the highway, through extremely bumpy city streets, fast sweeping turns, etc. The bike did not move an inch.

For a second bike you would use the Boxlink at the rear of the bed.

You could conceivably fit 3-4 if you turned the forks of each bike. I'd want to secure them and maybe place padding in between them so they wouldn't bang into each other.

Yep, good point, I was thinking the same.
