Default Charging phone eats data...

Just noticed that by connecting my phone to the truck to charge, it is eating a lot of gb in my mobile plan because google maps runs... I guess time to connect the phone in a wireless charger instead and just to the main USB port in the truck when really needed to navigate...

You'd also benefit from a higher amperage charge with using a DC usb adapter. Onboard USB ports are pretty low

My 2016 with center console shift, has a power outlet in the console between the seats.

It is power only and doesn’t connect to the truck sync system.

When I was on a limited data plan, I'd just turn off data when I didn't need to use it.

Also can block use just for the app if you want to receive large MMS texts (although I think that's no longer an issue with data off?) or listen to spotify.

Way back when I had a really, REALLY small data plan, I'd pre-load the route. Then there were the years of running gmap, but never in satellite view.
