Default changing wheel size?

My 2015 has 18" wheels. I have a set of 17s with snow tires. Can I simply swap them out?

Yes.
  • and as long as the diameter is the same there will be no impact on speedometer, GPS, MPG, etc. readings and transmission shift points.
    .
  • and as long as the snow tires have TPMS sensors there will not be any issues.

My 17s are from an 05 f150. I don't think they have wheel sensors. Now what?

buy sensors and learn them twice a year or look at a tpms light all winter.

Or ignore the symbol, I never buy tpms, too expensive, I guess it defeats the purpose but I'll check my own air to save a few bucks

no tpms wont hurt nothing. If the light bothers you, put a piece of black electrical tape over it
as said, just check your tire pressure every month, and you'll be fine.

I never bought any either, but I will from now on, I've heard that someone got a blow out and got into an accident with their winter tires and rims without TPMS, the insurance adjuster noticed the wheels and got them checked and no TPMS, so the insurance did not cover the claim because the car came from factory with sensors and apparently they removed a safety feature by not getting them installed.

I wouldn't believe that happened without proof.
