Default Changing color of ford badge

So i decided to start yet another project on the truck and put my home projects on hold.. wife is not amused.. lol

Anyway since my entire truck is white and black i decided to change the Blue Oval badges as well... here are a few pics of tear down of the front oval. haven't gotten to the rear yet but my guess is it will be about the same.

figured i would throw these up incase others were thinking of doing it themselves instead of spending $100+ each for replacements.

I have the first coat on them now and will take/post more pics once the emblem is complete and put back together..

rear before tear down.. Dremel did a great job of grinding away the blue plastic rivet looking points.

front after removing outer ring

front after tear down

back side after tear down

So you're changing the blue oval into a... black oval, on a black truck. That's original. :P

Is interesting that they come apart like that though.

Nice. Cool to see people doing this on the 15's. I'm opening up a side business on this forum doing this. People will be sending me their ovals to paint.

This isn't put together yet, it's just set together so it looks funny. Opposite color scheme than you though

How are the badges mounted to the truck? Just double sided tape for the rear, and maybe a bolt or two on the front?
