Question CEL only when outside temp is high

2015 F150 4X4 XLT ~65K miles...I had check engine light come on for a week or so back in September, never got around to checking it out. Then it went off on its own, but came back on after about a week in for a few days and then went away again. I did nothing to the truck just had it tested at O'reily after the light had went out again, and no codes were found. Now it has been a couple months and no CEL. Looking back it appears that the times the light was on was when outside temps here in the Houston area were in the 90s, when it went off we had cooler weather. What can be causing the CEL to only come on due to outside temp?

Any answer would be pure speculation because there where no codes pulled. Next time it comes on get the code and then we can help ya a lot better. If you want to do a pure PM then I would clean the MAF sensor replace air filter, clean the Throttle Body. That would be a start but in no way am I saying this would cause the CEL in warm weather.

Maybe a scanner that is able to view pending codes.
