Not necessarily could be just a marketing ploy to get eyes on their product. Cheap advertising really. Kind of like a "sale". How many of us were oohing and ahhing how easy the process and how good the prices?

With 16,400 miles now just for giggles I plugged it into Carvana for sale. Got an instant quote of $37306. If I sold it would have cost me $4694 to own it for a little more than over a year.

Carvana value now at $33,073. Lol no thanks.

I sold mine almost a month ago. I'm glad I did. My Carvana value is now down to just a hair under $23,000, with a -$1,600 'market adjustment'.

When I sold my market adjustment was almost +$2,000.

Resurrecting this thread because values are going up again. My truck bottomed out in January, with a carvana value of $29005. I checked last week, and it was up to $33500, and today it's up again to $34139, about $3K over my residual.

Just an FYI for anyone looking to sell/trade. I suspect, due to short supply of new trucks, newer used rigs are starting to climb again.

In the last year I’ve had two outstanding experiences with Carvana.

Less than a year ago I sold my 2019 STX, with 15K miles, to Carvana for $2K more than I paid for it. With the sale proceeds and $2.5K Ford Cash I purchased a new 2020 STX (the one on the left), configured exactly the same as the 2019, and put $1K in my pocket.

Yesterday Carvana purchased my 2020 STX, with 10k miles, for $4K more than I paid for it. This time I decided to bump up to the XLT trim level. Bought a new 2020 XLT (the one on the right) with sale proceeds and $3K Ford Cash, and broke even on the transaction.

That's awesome! Crazy times we live in. Thanks for sharing. Do those figures include taxes?

Yes, Out the Door costs after TTL. The State of Texas sales tax fund has been the big beneficiary.
