Default Cargo Bed Light

Is there anyway to have the rear roof bed cargo light flash (for enhanced safety), as I do not use the light for the original purpose.

Sure, tie them to whatever light circuit you want them to flash with. I have my mirror spot lights tied into the turn signal circuit so they flash with the turn signals. I'd imagine it shouldn't be any different for the cargo lights.

EDIT: if you don't add a diode in the tap wire whatever light you tap into will light up with the cargo lights when you open the door etc....

There are resistor circuits that will cause flash and strobe effects. They work as a plug/play or wired through a switch depending on need and can work existing lights as flashers.

Primarily made for road crews, construction and escort vehicles they are available to the public.

Amazon has sellers that offer these circuits and there are many other sources to get them if Amazon isn't your thing.

Iowa80.com (a truck stop with a huge specialty lighting and customizing department) is a good place to start but they are a little more expensive than others.

Shop multiple websites as the same part can have a $20 +/- price difference depending on the seller. Search for vehicle safety lighting. May take a bit tweaking your search to find exactly what you're looking for.

I have a 2016 F150 with the cargo lights, back by the tail gate. My passenger side light quit working. I took out the light plugged it into the LH spot and it worked fine, so must be the wiring. I chased the wire harness down to under the truck , and it’s dead-no power, I then cased that harness to a much larger harness, and that where I stopped. Any suggestions?
