Default Car Brite

Does anyone have experience with Car Brite products. I called a local shop re ceramic coating. They gave me a quote over the phone of $300 with a 5 year warranty on Car Brite, which obviously isn’t a ceramic coating. Is it just another fancy, durable wax? Certainly it can’t compare to ceramic coating at that price.

Actually Car Bright does make ceramic coatings.

Car Bright is way above the Do it yourself line of products. So it will be much better results than anything you can go buy at the store and it is a professional line of products. However that being said, it is at the bottom quality level of professional detailer products. So there you go about all I can say about it. I have never personally used it but know many detailers that have.

Look at it like this, you can go to the store and you can buy Turtle wax, low end of the waxes for $5-$10. You can go tot he store and get Wolfgangs or Meguires High end waxes in the middle of the road. You can buy Pinnacle Sauveran Wax for $100 which will give you a shine like you never seen before. Professional detailers waxes are going to be even better, but they will get them cheaper because they buy in bulk.

Car Bright is like the Turtle Wax of the professional detailers lines. Way better than the DYI, but yeah low end of pro. Either way your trucks going to look better than most out there.

I’m parking out outside now with NO shade whatsoever since my 3 cars fill up my garage. I mainly just worry about UV rays destroying my Blue Flame finish in a few years. I polish my vehicles, but trying to preserve the truck’s finish is just a little too much. $300 seems awfully cheap for wash, claybar, and multi-step wax. It has to be 3-4 hour job for one person.

People park outside all of the time without fancy ceramic coatings and do fine, just have to make sure the paint is properly protected. But I do hear good things about the coatings, I however like "waxing" my truck (synthetic) and it seems to bead very well for 4-6 months but I typically do it once a season and spray wax after every wash.

that being said, opti-coat is like $100 for enough to do a fullsize truck, so I agree 300 sounds cheap

I also own a detailing business and I agree. $300 for that work is too cheap. Its a 6-8 hour job with one person

That seems crazy cheap! Places around here charge more than that just for the clay bar/wax (I did my truck and I don't blame them! These things are HUGE)

that seems about right around my area, assuming there's no paint correction involved. i was quoted $550 for hand wash, clay, ironx, basic interior cleaning, 1 step correction (they said it would get about 75% of the defects) and ceramic pro sport (good for 1 year).
