Default Can you use a replacement key to program future keys?

I just added a third key, and I am wondering if I lost "key #1" would I be able to use "key #2 and #3" to program "key #4" (as the new third key)? Or if it has to be the original 2 keys? Given the steep price of getting new keys from the dealership, and my old keys are worn out, I'm thinking about locking my original keys in my safe and using new aftermarket 20 dollar keys. Thanks. Oh, and how many keys can you have programmed? Can you have 4? (so 2 keys in use and and 2 in the safe) Thanks again.

Cool, thanks. So I guess if you were to add a 5th key, it would just drop the oldest one out?

No, it won't let you add any then. Prior keys would need to be deleted by a licensed lock smith or the dealer.

According to the 2019 manual, you can have up to 6 coded keys if you have a keyed ignition, and up to 4 intelligent access keys if you have push-button start.
