Can I Stop Worrying?
I've got a 2016 with the 2.7 Ecoboost engine. My truck was built in the KC plant within the time frame of the dreaded "wrong heads" fiasco. I noticed what I considered excessive exhaust smoke early on, found out about the TSB on this forum, and had a dealer check for the telltale codes...nothing. I have never had any rough idling, oil level problems, stalling, etc. Truck has run perfectly. I now have over 44K on it. Am I at a point where I can be certain that my truck is not fitted with the wrong heads?

You would think something would of shown up by now if it had the wrong heads on it. How did they end up with some having wrong heads in the first place?

I feel like if my truck had the wrong cylinder heads, I'd know it by now, but I was hoping someone else whose truck fell within those build dates and who has similar mileage might allay my fears. I don't wanna get rid of the truck, but if there is ANY potential for something to happen at this point, I'd sell it.

Well, after reading that, if my truck fell within that time frame, I couldn't help but worry also.

obligatory post.
It is a ticking time bomb if you didn't get God's motor in it and you know that.
Serious answer - you'd know by now. Maybe check your oil use by checking the oil weekly for a few months but I really think you'd know by know.
Did you take it to a dealer ot do the TSB check - they should have told you if your head numbers matched or didn't.

I had the dealer check for the codes listed in the TSB and they got none of them.
I'm going to relax and forget about it.

I've read of 2.7's with more miles than your having cylinder head issues. My 2.7 falls in the date range and I now have 50K on mine.
Personally I don't worry about it. If you read and study enough you'll find that every vehicle ever made is a ticking time bomb waiting to blow.
Drive it.
Enjoy it.
Don't worry about it.
