Does anyone know if an 09-14 camper shell will fit a 15+ truck?

Price on new shells are a bit absurd and I would love to be able to slap a used shell on and call it a day.

you can make the shell pretty much fit but you cant close the rear window on it unfortunately. I tried it with the Leer from my 14. The 15/16 has a much bigger lip on the tailgate.

Any idea if the rear window can be modified to make it work or is it a hard no on slapping a 14 canopy on my 16 truck?

 

Well, it will fit, mostly. There will be a huge gap at the front of the bed, along with the rear door not closing. A replacement door from a 15 may or may not fit either, but if the bottom flange is tall enough can be cut to fit. The sides will stick out a bit too.

Tried it, didn't fit well, bought a new one instead.
