Cam Phaser Problem...Recurring?
I’m trying to get a feel for whether the cam phaser + timing chain rattle that so many of us have dealt with is a “one and done” problem, or likely be reoccur.
I had the rattle start at about 25k miles and fought like hell to get Ford to rectify it. They finally agreed to after 5+ videos, calls, harassment, etc...
Now with 50k miles on the truck, I have an opportunity to get into something (non F150) else at a good price. Now that the car is out of warranty, I worry about expensive repairs or recurring issues. Is this something that is fixed once and unlikely to occur again, or should I expect to have more cold start rattles (and expenses) in the future?
